Black Slime in the Womb of Darkness is the debut demo release from the Ukrainian project Marlynmage from the Rivne city. The album both begins and ends with monotonous and spooky, somewhat cacophonous, compositions in the spirit of Xasthur's instrumental tracks. From the second song everything falls into place and it becomes clear that before us is a somewhat experimental project - this is not the classic BM that most people are used to hearing. There are also typical black motifs and hysterical vocals, but instead, no gimbals or blastbeats, no Satan and vampires from dungeons. The lyrics are somewhat romantic, depressing, routine. After listening this release, you can hear there Dungeon Synth, Black Metal, Screamo-Punk, and even Shoegaze. So, if you sublimate, Marlynmage can still be attributed to the Post-Black releases of the new wave. I have listened to this demo several times and will listen to it again more than once - every listener will find something special here.

Чорний слиз в утробах тьми - це дебютний демо реліз від українського проекту Мерлінмаге із міста Рівне. Альбом як розпочинається, так і закінчується монотонними та химерними, дещо какафонічними, композиціями у дусі інструментальних трекив від Ксастур. С другого треку все стає на свої місця і стає зрозуміло що перед нами дещо експерементальний проект - це не классичний блек котрий більшість звикла чути. Тут є і типові блекові мотиви і істеричний вокал, але натомість ніяких карданів чи бластбітів, ніякої сатани та вампірів із підземель. Лірика дещо романтична, депрессивна, побутова. Після прослуховування тут можна почути і Данжн Сінт, і Блек метал, і Скрімо-Панк, та навіть Шугейз. Отже якщо сублімувати то все ж Мерлінмаге можна віднести до Пост-Блекових релізів нової хвилі. Неодноразово прослухав цю демку і переслухаю ще не один раз - впеевен кожен зі слухачів знайде тут щось своє.
